Fall Family Fun Run- Our second annual Fall Family Festival and Fun Run was a huge success accompanied by beautiful weather. There was fun to be had by everyone with the snack stands, spirit wear, costume and pumpkin contest, game stations and run.

The students were able to fill out raffle tickets after completing each lap during the run.

Activity Night- Thank you to the many volunteers who helped out at our first Activity Night. Keeping the students safe and providing a fun evening is our top priority. We thank you for sharing your children with us for an evening of fun. Our second Activity Night will take place on January 20th.

Spirit Week- A big thank you to all the families who contributed to our spirit week at Jersey Mike’s. We look forward to providing a total earned soon. Thank you to Lori Baker for coordinating this fun event for our school!

PTO General Meeting- Our second meeting of the year will be Monday, November 14 at 3:45 pm. Please consider joining us to continue our “GAMES” theme and discuss upcoming events in the school.

Family Reading Night- Grades K-2 are welcome to bring families in for a FREE event on November 17th from 6:15-8pm. Doors open at 6pm The evening will focus on the importance of quality time, love for books and a variety of fun activities throughout the school.

Santa Shop- It will be here before we know it- December 6th kicks off the start of our Santa Shop. Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Please contact Sarah Disser at sarahdisser@yahoo.com if you would like to volunteer your time.

Volunteer Help- We offer a sincere apology as we had a mix up in our system involving volunteer forms. If you filled out a form to help on any of our committees and have not yet heard from the PTO, please e-mail us at whiteriverpto@gmail.com so we can update our records. We are currently in need of volunteers to chair our Mother/Son event and Father/Daughter dance. Our Staff Appreciation committee is also looking for volunteers willing to assist in honoring our great staff at White River.

Community Rewards - As you are preparing for the Holiday Season, don’t forget to look for rewards that will benefit WRE: Box Tops, Labels for Education, Tyson Labels, and Coke Rewards! Box Tops - Which classes will win the next Box Top Party? Contest starts on November 14th and will end on December 9th. Last Contest we collected over 13,000 Box Tops as an entire school!! Let’s see if we can top that this contest. Great Job and Good Luck!!
